What adventure, you ask?
Last summer, we rented a small RV and spent a few days exploring Pennsylvania. We stayed in a campground near Hershey, visited the PA Penn Faire, and then went northwest to visit a state park that was a certified "dark sky" park to see the stars. I'll be honest that it took quite a bit of convincing to get me on board with an RV vacation, but we had a blast. We used the trip as a test run, thinking that one day, when the kids get a little older, we would take a longer trip out west to see the Grand Canyon and other national parks out that way.
Fast forward to 2020.... and, you know what that means. Coronavirus. Virtual Schooling. Lots and lots of family together time. As we started to look towards the fall, we realized we had a unique opportunity ahead of us. Pat isn't traveling for work and won't be for a while. The kids have the option to be in school on a hybrid schedule or remain 100% virtual. We can literally be anywhere we want, as long as we have an internet connection. And we realized--- what better place to social distance than in the woods in an RV. So we started doing a little research and before we knew it, we were the proud owners of a Thor Ace 33' motorhome with bunkbeds for the kids.

We don't have a specific plan other than to head out for a few weeks at a time and return to home base to reset and take care of whatever needs to be taken care of. We'll follow the news and stay away from coronavirus hot spots and adapt as we go. We realize that there will be things we miss because of closures, but we'll make the best of it :-) And if things go to heck with the virus, we'll just head home and do the trip later, haha.
Zach and I have started this blog for 2 reasons. 1) To document our adventures and share with our friends and family. 2) Shhhh, don't tell Zach but my real reason for starting the blog is to get him to practice his writing. Bwahahaha, Learning! At the bottom of each post is a "tag", which will tell you if the post was "written by mom" or "written by zach" (though I don't think it will be hard to tell without it).
So, in the words of our favorite frog and bear duo, we're "moving right along, footloose and fancy free. Getting there is half the fun, come share it with me"

I LOVE this! I can't wait to follow the adventures you guys go on! :)
