On the Road Again!

It’s been quite a while since we updated the blog, we’ve been home for the last 6 months.  But now we are back on the road!  

April started the beginning of the Muppet Mobile Big Road Trip.  The start date actually changed a few times, which was frustrating for planning purposes.  Originally we wanted to leave on March 27th, but then Mom got an appointment for a vaccine (woohoo) so we pushed the start date back to April 1st.  Then, as luck would have it, Pat’s car (which we tow behind the RV) broke down and needed to go into the shop.  April 1st came and went and the car was still stuck in the shop. Finally, on April 3rd we were able to get started, with only a little bit of time to make up with some longer drives.

The ultimate reason for the trip is because Pat needs to be in Arizona for work the first 3 weeks in May.  We are taking the month of April to work our way across the country, with stops in Virginia, Pigeon Forge TN, Nashville, Memphis, Hot Springs AR, Oklahoma City, Amarillo TX, Albuquerque NM, White Sands NM, and then on to Tucson.  Once we get to Tucson, we’ll be there for a few weeks, and then from there will do lots of tourist/national park type spots from Cali to Yellowstone to Rushmore and lots of places in between before heading home. 

Here’s a map of our planned route, though it could change as we get underway.  We’ve already rerouted the beginning of our trip about 3 times, haha.
