Wytheville, VA

Our first stop was a quick overnight stop in Wytheville, VA.  We actually had a reservation for Pigeon Forge starting that day, but the drive would have been too long.  Home to Wytheville was 6 hours, which is just about our limit for driving in a day (we try to keep it to 3-4 hours most days).

We arrived just before dinnertime, and after dinner took a little walk to explore the campground.  The kids enjoyed the playground, and Zach found a stage (of course!).  The kids even went fishing while we cooked dinner, but we haven’t gotten any bait yet, so they were really just throwing their hooks in, haha.

Sunday morning was Easter and the Easter Bunny definitely found us even though we weren’t home. He hid a few eggs outside on our campsite and we found our Easter baskets hidden in the RV… sneaky bunny!  The bunny was very practical and brought the kids some things they can use on our trip-  collapsible sand buckets instead of baskets, new travel cups, shovels, binoculars, and kites.

Sarah said “This was the best Easter in an RV ever!”  She just rolled her eyes when I told her that it was the only Easter we’ve had in an RV, haha.
